1. Locate the base station
The base station is usually mounted in a grey plastic box on the wall near the gate. In some cases, it may be installed in other nearby locations, such as a utility room in or near the garage.
Bring a flathead screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver. The flathead makes it easy to open the grey box, while the Phillips screwdriver is needed if you have to open the base station.
2. Disconnect the power
Once you’ve located the base station, disconnect the power. The power cable is white, as shown in the image below.
3. Press the round button three times
On the top of the base station, you’ll see a round, white button in the center of the device. Press this button three times — all the lights on the base station should turn off. This may take a few moments. If the lights don’t turn off, repeat step 3 and try pressing the button a bit faster.
If the lights still don’t turn off, you’ll find a cover on the underside of the base station. Remove it using the Phillips screwdriver so you can take out the battery pack located inside the base station.
4. Wait at least 10 seconds and reconnect the power
After waiting at least 10 seconds, reconnect the power. The base station will automatically restart. This can take 2–10 minutes.
When everything is working correctly, all the lights will be green except for the exclamation mark. The Wi-Fi symbol may be yellow in some cases — this is not an issue.
